ES Windows Windows & Doors in Citrus Heights, CA | Westlight Windows Sacramento
We provide independent ES Windows service across Citrus Heights, and most of what we fix here comes down to one thing: summer heat beating on 40-year-old aluminum frames. Our team specializes exclusively in ES Windows and doors, with deep knowledge of the product lines installed in Citrus Heights’s 1970s-80s ranch homes. We use genuine ES Windows parts where available and proven aftermarket alternatives for discontinued series, always prioritizing honest repair over Window Replacement in Citrus Heights unless it’s truly needed. Call (279) 206-5094 for a free estimate.
One thing worth naming plainly: we’re an independent ES Windows service provider, not manufacturer-affiliated or authorized. That independence matters because we answer to you, not to a factory. Owen Satterfield runs our Sacramento operation, and he’s spent the better part of two decades measuring, fitting, and finishing windows and doors across California. His rule holds on every ES Windows job in Citrus Heights: measure twice, explain once, and don’t leave a homeowner guessing.

Why Citrus Heights Residents Choose Us for ES Windows Service
ES Windows built a lot of product into Sacramento’s suburban housing stock, and Citrus Heights is no exception. Ranch homes along Greenback Lane, San Juan Avenue, and up toward the east side near Sunrise Boulevard carry Series 2000 single-hungs, Series 3000 horizontal rollers, Series 4000 casements, and Series 5000 sliding glass doors. We know the failure patterns on each line because we see them every week.
Owen grew up in the San Fernando Valley and picked up his first trade skills at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College before spending the better part of two decades working windows and doors across California. He and his crew have been working the Sacramento area for years, and they’ve built a reputation for showing up when they say they will and explaining the job in plain terms before anyone signs anything. Owen is known especially for helping homeowners sort through energy-efficiency options without overselling them on glass packages they don’t need for the Central Valley climate.
Every ES Windows call in Citrus Heights runs through the same Kingswell Way process: we say the price before the work, show up in the window we gave, leave the place cleaner than we found it, put the guarantee in writing, and come back if it fails. No door-step surprises, no revised invoices.
Common ES Windows Windows & Doors Problems We Solve in Citrus Heights
- Summer-bind on Series 3000 horizontal sliders. Citrus Heights summers push 100 degrees, and those aluminum frames expand. Roller assemblies seize from repeated heat expansion, causing binding that worsens until the frame itself warps. We replace the rollers and realign the track before the frame takes permanent damage.
- Thermal seal failure on west- and south-facing double-panes. A west-facing ES window on a Citrus Heights ranch takes direct afternoon sun for months. When the seal fails, you get condensation between the glass and a serious drop in energy efficiency. We assess whether a glass replacement makes sense or whether the window is ready for a full retrofit.
- Weep hole clogging from dust and dry-season debris. Citrus Heights gets dusty in the dry months. Weep holes plug, water has nowhere to go when winter rain hits, and internal water damage follows. Cleaning and clearing weep systems is part of our standard ES Windows maintenance.
- Locking mechanism wear on Series 2000 single-hungs. Paint buildup in the track forces repeated hard operation, and the lock hardware wears out. We replace worn locks and address the track issue so the problem doesn’t come back in six months.
- Roller corrosion on Series 5000 sliding glass doors from sprinkler overspray. This one is specific to Citrus Heights. Lawn sprinklers mist the door track, steel rollers rust, and by August the door barely moves. We replace them with upgraded stainless steel carriers.
ES Windows Service in Citrus Heights: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment
On the east side near Sunrise Boulevard, a lot of homes still have the original metal-framed Series 5000 sliding doors. Original steel rollers corrode from years of sprinkler overspray hitting the track, then seize when summer heat expands the frame. We regularly see doors that locals just learn to live with until the rollers finally fail outright. By August, some of these doors won’t move at all.
Our tech was called to a home near Sunrise Boulevard and Old Auburn Road for an ES Windows Series 5000 sliding door that had become nearly impossible to open. We found the original steel rollers had rusted solid from years of lawn sprinkler mist hitting the track, causing the door to drag and score the aluminum frame. After replacing the rollers with upgraded stainless steel carriers and realigning the track, the door now glides even in 100-degree heat.
That specific failure is more common in Citrus Heights than in Sacramento or Elk Grove because of how many eastside homes were built in that 1970s-80s wave with sprinkler systems aimed close to the patio door. It’s a pattern that tells us a lot before we even arrive.
ES Windows Models & Products We Service in Citrus Heights
We service the full ES Windows residential lineup: Series 2000 single-hung, Series 3000 horizontal roller, Series 4000 casement, and Series 5000 sliding glass doors. For active series, we use ES Windows OEM parts. For discontinued lines, we source high-quality aftermarket parts that match the original specifications. Our repair-first philosophy means most roller, seal, and hardware issues get fixed on-site without replacing the window or door.
We recommend Window Installation - Citrus Heights only when the frame itself is warped or the glass package is outdated beyond reasonable repair. We keep common rollers, carriers, and hardware stocked for fast Citrus Heights turnaround.
ES Windows Service Pricing in Citrus Heights
| Service | Typical Price Range |
|---|---|
| Roller replacement on ES Windows slider or sliding door | $180 – $340 per door |
| Thermal seal / glass replacement (double-pane) | $250 – $450 per sash |
| Hardware and lock replacement | $120 – $220 per window |
| Full retrofit window replacement | $900 – $1,600 per opening |
What drives the cost is the series, the age of the frame, and whether a part is still available from ES Windows or needs a matching aftermarket source. We give every Citrus Heights homeowner a written price before any work starts. That price doesn’t change at the door. Call (279) 206-5094 for an exact quote, and mention which ES Windows series you have.

FAQs – ES Windows Windows & Doors in Citrus Heights
The aluminum frame expands in summer heat, and worn roller assemblies seize inside the track. In winter, the metal contracts and the door moves more freely. The fix is replacing the rollers and realigning the track before the frame warps permanently. Call (279) 206-5094 and we’ll diagnose it.
Yes. We replace rollers, carriers, and track components as standalone repairs all the time. The upgrade to stainless steel carriers usually solves the rust problem for good.
Yes. When moisture sits between the panes, the thermal seal has failed. The insulating gas is gone, and the window’s energy performance is degraded. We can replace the glass unit on most ES Windows models without replacing the frame.
Yes. Series 4000 casement windows develop crank and hinge wear over time, especially when dust and dry-season grime get into the mechanism. We service and replace crank hardware.
Original ES Windows from that era are typically stamped with the series number on the frame or sash. If you see a Series 2000, 3000, 4000, or 5000 marking, they’re likely original. Original windows that old are prime candidates for seal failure and roller wear. Call (279) 206-5094 for a free estimate.
